Information collected by us
We collect information you provide in any communication or interaction with us, including when you make a booking, stay at our hotel, use our other products and services (including food and beverage services, spa, health clubs, event booking, child care, equipment rental and other activities available at our property), make a purchase, create an account, respond to a survey or offer, or sign up for a newsletter, marketing bulletins or membership of a loyalty program.
This includes details such as your name, address, email address and phone number. It may also include your passport details, nationality, date or birth, gender, payment details (such as credit or debit card information), loyalty program membership and membership numbers, details of co-travellers or associated companies or groups, travel dates, hotel room preferences, any special requests or requirements, and any information required by local authorities or to comply with local laws.
We may also collect and process information about your visits to and use of our website and the pages you view. This helps us to build knowledge on areas such as traffic, location and user preferences. In addition it assists us to test and improve our website accessibility and content. This is explained further under the heading ‘Cookies’ below.
How we use your information
The information collected from you is used as required to provide our products and services to you. It may also be used for responding to requests you make for information about our products or services, or providing details of similar products or services where you have previously made a request, booking or purchase through us.
We may provide details of other products or services, resort information, updates and offers which you may be interested in, through newsletters and marketing emails or similar, if you have consented to receive it. We may inform you of changes to our products, services, or website, or contact you for market research purposes.
We may be asked to process your information on behalf of third parties, such as tour operators, travel companies and other service providers, including loyalty scheme providers, corporate customers and marketing partners. In such cases those third parties will be responsible for explaining to you what personal data is being collected and processed and why, and how it will be used.
Your rights in relation to your information
If you provide personal information to us, you will have the opportunity at the time to tell us if you are happy for us to contact you subsequently, or if you would prefer for us not to contact you (otherwise than as may be necessary in connection with a booking or purchase or provision of products and services requested by you).
You may contact us to request a copy of the information we hold about you.
If any of the information which we hold about you is inaccurate, please let us know and we will correct it. You may ask us to remove any information that is no longer up to date. You may change or withdraw any consent you have given, for example in relation to receipt of marketing emails, by notifying us at any time. If you think there is a problem with the way we are handling your data then you have the right to complain to the applicable regulator or supervisory authority.
Keeping and storing your information
We have appropriate measures and systems in place to protect and maintain the confidentiality and security of the personal information which we hold about you.
As the sending of information via the internet is not totally secure, we cannot guarantee the security of data that you choose to send to us electronically, and sending such information is at your own risk. You should avoid sending payment card numbers or other sensitive data to us via email. Our reservations team will only ask for payment card details via a secure payment link.
When you provide information, you accept and agree that it may be necessary for us to transfer it to other locations outside of the United Arab Emirates, including Europe and the United States, for processing and storing in connection with a booking or purchase or provision of products and services. In doing so we will take all reasonable steps to ensure your data is transferred and stored securely.
We will keep and store your information in our systems and records:
(a) for so long as it is required by us for the purposes of providing you with any products and services requested by you; or
(b) to the extent that you have given your consent for us to keep it and use it for a specific purpose; or
(c) in accordance with our normal record retention policy, which is 5 years; or
(d) as required by applicable law or for financial, regulatory and audit purposes, or similar,
whichever is the later, subject to your rights explained above.
As necessary for the purposes of performing any service which you have requested (including to third party providers of products and services available at our property, such as but not limited to spa services, watersports and activity providers and restaurants);
To group companies or affiliates of Pearl Hotel, including the owners of hotels where we manage the hotel on their behalf and do not directly own or lease it;
To our guest connect booking engine provider in connection with your booking or purchase and to other third parties providing products or services to us or on our behalf in order for them to perform such services (including payment card providers and companies providing information technology tools or services);
To a purchaser or partner and their and our advisers in the event we sell, restructure or collaborate on any part of or all of our business;
As required by any legal, regulatory or governmental body, or as required for any legal purpose or process, compliance with laws or similar, or in seeking to detect or prevent fraud and other crimes.
In addition, we may collect non-personal information relating to your visit or activities which does not individually identify you. We may disclose, aggregate with other information, transfer or otherwise use this data to help us better understand and improve our website or our products and services.
We will not otherwise disclose your personal information to another party, or share your details with third parties so that they can provide you with information regarding unrelated goods or services, without your prior consent.
Cookies or similar technologies enable a website to keep track of a user’s site preferences, activities and internet usage. This includes information about your visits to our website and visiting patterns.
Typically information collected is statistical and does not personally identify you, although we may obtain information about your computer or other electronic device, such as your IP address, browser and other internet log information. Personal information will only be collected where you voluntarily provide it.

Lost and Found Policy.
In-room safes are provided in every guest room and are to be used to store valuable items. However, the hotel is not liable for the theft, loss, damage or destruction of the property in the absence of gross negligence on the part of the Hotel or its colleagues.
Below points are example to guide the operation but not limited to:
- Valuables: are reported to the lost and found department with the description, date and time found, person who found it, guest full details (if found in the guest room) otherwise no guest details if found
- In public areas. Please be advised that the lost and found item will be stored for 30 days at the property and then handed over to Police.
- Any items left in or next to the garbage bins are considered refused and will be discarded.
